Gentlemen, my thanks to all of you for your help during my journey to select a tractor. This was a lot harder than I had anticipated and I can't believe what a wealth of knowledge there is here. Your advice really helped in making my selection for a tractor to manage my 8 acre parcel. My original post is here: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kubota-buying-pricing/104094-b3030-help-decision.html
I ended up choosing a B3030 with loader, 60" bush hog, and a 72" RFM - I really do love it. At first I thought it might be a bit too large but it doesn't really seem that big at all anymore. I've had it a month or so and it's helped do a lot of tasks - some expected like mowing, bush hogging, and loader work. Also some unexpected like pulling out my neighbours dock and pulling out another neighbours van from some freshly placed top soil
.
I really struggled with purchasing this tractor in Canada given the significant price difference and I came very close to buying this tractor from the USA. In the end, I could have saved money by purchasing in the USA but when I considered that I'd have to purchase this outright versus 0% financing, plus I'd have to get it shipped up, plus I'd have no warranty... In addition, I know my local dealer and sometimes supporting the local economy means something.
I know how much you all love photos so here's a few shots of my machine. Thanks again guys!!
