Buying Advice Trade a Max 28xl shuttle on a 3616 cab

Hello all, I've been kicking around the idea of upgrading to a 3616 cab model with the fel and hoe after this winter. My 2012 max 28 only has 85 hrs and has the fel and a hoe. I have a front mounted blower for it but I think I can adapt it to a 3616. It's been a great tractor but it sure would be nice to have a heated cab for snow removal. And the A/C wouldn't hurt either! I guess my question is what can I expect for a trade in value for my machine on a 3616 cab? Doesn't matter if the 3616 is a shuttle or hst. I haven't talked to any dealers yet but it would be nice to get some opinions from you guys before I do. I've looked around on the net for used max28 prices and they seem to be all over the place. I know I could probably do better selling my max outright but that can be a pain unless the $'s are worth the aggravation! Thanks

You can add a very nice "factory" cab to the Max28 as they have that now for the Max26, which is the same tractor. You can get a heater, but no AC. This is a very proper cab. These are installed at the DC's, not in Japan, so I'd think a dealer could buy the cab assembly and install it. It takes a day to install if you have not done one before.

As far as 3616 cabs remaining, it will be difficult to find a 3616HST cab as they have been sold out at all DC's for quite a while and there will be few indeed on dealer's lots. There are some 3616 shuttle cabs remaining.

Your front blower will be too narrow for the 3616. You can always do this, put a hefty but realistic price on the entire package and try to sell it yourself. If you get a good amount, go buy the 3616 cab. Or call your dealer and see about adding the "factory" cab. Part number A-12104 is the basic cab, heater is A-12108 and there are other options as well. A typically optioned cab installed is in the neighborhood of $6k +/- depending on options, freight, etc. That will at least give you an idea as you pencil this out.

I tried out a Max 26XL HST Cab when shopping, Ended up with a leftover Max28XL Shuttle, very nice.

Hadn't even thought about that, so thanks for asking. This cab is not compatible with the backhoe.

So far all we have seen in Mahindra hard cabs is the one for the Max26XL and they also have one for the eMax. Nothing for the smaller Max.
