Tractor Sizing Trade the 2320 for...?

Had the dealer come look at my 2320 tonight to establish a trade in value. I need something bigger, heavier and more powerful. Open to suggestions. He suggested a 3320 but it's out of my price range. I also want to get a hoe that will do more than the 46 that is available for the 2320. Want better lift on the loader bucket as well. He is supposed to be pricing me some models in between mine and the 3320. Any input on best bang for the buck?

I think the 2520 or 2720 both have stronger hydraulics. The 3320 is the next step up from that with Deere that you can get the backhoe.

If you didn't need that, I would say look at the 3032.

The 3005 has the 7 hoe but weight and power are not that remarkably better than the 2320. Don't even know the pricing on it yet.

May be keeping the 2320 a little longer. The rest of the 2000 series don't give me any advantage on the FEL lift; same 200cx loader.

The 46 hoe is about $7k. If you plan on using it a lot, great otherwise it is a lot of money. I'd consider renting a mini excavator. But that is totally up to you and your needs, but it would give some extra cash for the new tractor.

Dealer is is trying to work a deal on a used 485 hoe for the 3320 for about half price of new. He gave me a fantastic trade in price on the 2320 though. Looks like the deal might actually happen.

I also want to do a hydraulic top link sometime in the future so I will order the 3320 with one SCV. If I wanted to do a hydraulic tilt as well, would I need another SCV?

I just traded up to a 3320. I am really impressed with its strength. Life is too short not to get the tractor you want. Go get it!

While the loader is the same, the tractor that it's attached to does make some difference. I seem to recall that the 2320 and 2520 have a lifting capacity difference although I can't remember what it is (JD is HORRID at publishing useful information about this sort of stuff). I know that the hydraulic fluid rate is about 50% higher, and they publish an increase in lift capacities for both the loader and the 3PH, but I don't know what it translates to in the real world.

It wasn't really lift capacity in weight I was looking for as much as max bucket height and also just more volume in the bucket. The 200 cx maxes out right around 6 feet high. I want a little more than that.

I'm trading my 2320 for a 3520. I wanted more lift capacity, and got tired of waiting for the 270 backhoe. I contemplated a 2720, but there wasn't enough of an increase in ability to justify the upgrade.
