Well after using mower tractors my whole life. Started with a B Farmall than went to a B Allis Chalmers both with 60" mowers than as we planted more trees ended up with a LX John Deere than a D1 series can't remember the model that didn't hold up to 5 acres of rough mowing and trimming I got the 97 425 which when I was younger was my dream mower big heavy power steering loved the mower that thing could mow and pull things like a beast last week I pulled a John Deere A with pretty flat tires out of the shed couldn't believe it could move it with flat tires but it did. But after planting 375 baby trees over the past three years and my woods all being nice rows of trees mowed between the trimming was driving me nuts it was taking upwards of 5 hours a week if I wanted everything trimmed with the 425. Decided to finally after years of wanting a z turn getting one and holy cow people where not kidding about it cutting mow time in half but it did and the Z900 series should hold up to my super rough lawn. I'll miss the 425 a lot but the zturn sure is sweet.

Bet you will enjoy that a lot.
And can tell the youngsters approve of the new "ride".

I went from a straight steer 425 to an all wheel steer 425 due to mowing around 3500 newly planted trees and it cut my time nearly in half too. Now all my tractors are AWS. But not planning to go the Z turn anytime soon. Have the 425 with the MC519 cart on it, the X485 for spraying and broom work, and any "pulling" work, and the 455 for lawn mowing about 6-8 acres now.

Now ya need a Gator with the Croc top. Grandkids have enjoyed it.

That gator is awesome. Is it built out of fiberglass?
As for AWS I was really really close to going that direction also because you get the tight turning but don't lose the utility usefulness of the machine zturns are only good for one thing and that's it.

But what pushed me over the edge is I felt I had enough overlap with machines between the tractors and I found out I'm going to be able to get my grandpas B farmall which was that first mower / tractor I ever drove. I was mowing on that thing soon as I could push in the clutch. So that's another tractor drag things around the place with which made it easier to part with the 425.

It is fiberglass, I'm sure. Tough, as it fends off a lot of overhanging branches and limbs.
