Well.. it was hard.. but I traded in my workhorse 1997 NH 1920.. and got a 2002 NH 7610S.

This should cut my mowing time by about half.. once I get the 10' mower home!

That's a pretty serious tractor as far as most of us are concerned. And a 10 foot mower!!! How many hp? HST or gears? Etc. etc. etc.

Enjoy it and post more pictures /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You won't find hydros on many tractors above the compact level. It is a gear tractor and if I recall right it has 8 forward and 2 reverse gears. It puts out 86 pto hp.

Yep! The thing about BIG tractors is they also have BIG implements. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Soundguy, do any of your tractors have a FEL? ...just curious. I don't remember your mentioning that. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Thanks for the comments guys.. I'll do one big reply to all.

Gear.. 8 forward, 2 reverse

I have 13 acers right now ( wife wants more... )

Yep.. big tractor.. bigge rimplement.. and bigger prices of implements.. That's why I got a 10' mower.... couldn't afford a 15' one new.. I might try to find a trashed 15 and renovate it on my own time..

I got the mower home. It was delivered while I had come home from my day job and was heading to my night job.. so I only got to see it for 10 minutes. Same with the tractor.. it was delivered at lunch.. so I got to see it for 10 minutes.

I got home from my night job about 10:45, and ( ashamed to say) I stood out inthe light rain, and started to assemble the mower ( A-fram wasn't setup.. bracings and tail wheels.. etc.

I finally decided I was being a bit ridiculess out there at 11pm using hte truck headlights to put the mower together.. so I came in.

I think we've all ran out to the barn one time or another to piddle with out tractor when it is pitch black/raining/etc.

No loaders.. just rear scoop, and one has a front blade. Should be grate for all the snow florida gets! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

One thing I found out.. the tranny/starter cutout makes you have the tranny in neutral... both shifters.. gear, and range.. before you can start the tractor.

I'm waiting on a manual... they had to order me one.

So .. I really can't do much with it at this point.... I don't even know how to operate the remotes, engage the pto..or use the draft control. I don't know if it has 2 speed pto.. or just 540.. etc... no manual is a bummer... I can't believe the prev. owner didn't send the manual back... I sent my 1920 manual with my traded tractor... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

thanks

"out there at 11pm using hte truck headlights "

I installed a mercury vapor outdoor light inside my barn.. it takes a few minutes to come to full brightness.. but has been a good light for shop work. I wired the light & mounted it on a piece of 2x6.. then used a nail gun to secure it on highest point I could get to w/ a ladder. The red dot is where it's mounted.
