My local Case IH dealer has a new '04 DX 33. My 1998 NH 1320 HST 4x4 is in great shape and has 392 hours on it. It is also equipped with a 7308 loader and 68" bucket. The local Case IH dealer is wanting $8500.00 to trade. He is allowing me $14,000.00 for the 1320 and claiming the DX 33 list for $23,500.00. Any thoughts on this trade. This will be for the DX 33, hydro 4x4 and the 114 loader. Appreciate any impute!

I have no idea on the value of your old tractor, but the following are prices I got for NH/Case tractors earlier this spring:

NH TC45D (Hydro) w/ 16LA - $21,500
Case DX40 (hydro) w/116 loader - $20,600

Both were on leftover 2003 machines with less than 5 hours. Both were equiped with Quick attach faceplates on the loaders.

I think you could do better than $23,500 for a DX33 on a clean purchase, but I don't know what your old machine is worth.

Well, after doing a little research and calling the dealer back, the cash price would be around $19,000.00
My 1320 is six years old, great shape, and I got a good deal on it when I bought it. Believe it or not I asked a NH dealer what my 1320 would be worth trading up to a TC30 , and he said $4000.00, around an $8500.00 trade. That was tractor for tractor and I was going to keep my 7308 loader and other attachments. I figure my tractor is worth $10 -$11,000.00 with the loader if I were to sell it outright so we are getting pretty close to a cash price at $8500.00 and the 0% interest really clinched the deal.

I am moving up 6 years, 13HP, R4's, detachable bucket and a pretty cool looking tractor to boot! I am keeping my 5' finish mower that came with the 1320 when I bought it and that is a pretty good piece of change, will wind up trading for a 6' I am sure. All in all I feel pretty good about the trade, Think I would have come out about the same money if I would have sold mine and bought the other for cash.

And if your state is like NY you only pay sales tax on the difference. Around Here that would have saved you another $800. 0% does help sweeten the deal.

That is correct. I only have to pay fior the trade difference. Was going to pay that up fron but the dealer had already figured it in the trade so I'll get to use there money @ 0% for that too!
