I have had a gator ever since I moved to my land and bought it in 2004. It now has 330 hours on with hydro dump bed, brush guard, bed liner.
The seats are a little rough, but other than that it is in good shape and always maintained. I want to trade that in on a new gator not sure what model
I do know I want diesel and wind shield and roof with heater. In the winter I run a game preserve and when I set birds I almost freeze to death.
I need to be able to handle pheasants with light gloves or no gloves when I put them out, and suffer from the cold for doing it my hands get so cold
they hurt. I already have a mule 4010 but want a bench seat without a crew cab I generally set the birds by self, And I want this machine to
helping bring wood up. So I might have a winch put on the front. another reason I want diesel is with a heater I am afraid a gas engine will
over heat with one of these. I already have a crew cab and would like something with a tighter wheel base. I also pull be hind brush hog
and mow ditches with it so would prefer a smaller wheel base..

I was wondering what everyone thought the 6 wheeled gator was worth?
And what would be the best model gator for me to buy?

Can't really tell you what the 4x6 is worth, but as far a a diesel, the 855D 4x4 Gator is a fine ride. You can get a full cab on them, heater, hydraulic dump bed, power steering, brush guards, etc, etc. I just bought one this past Saturday and I am picking it up first thing in the morning. I had the windshield and a roof put on mine. The 855D has a CVT enclosure on it, so no more wet slipping drive belts (unless you make it into a submarine). It also has 11" of clearance underneath, which is much better than the old 4x6 gators had. The 855D also comes with a standard 2" receiver hitch, so you should be able to tow about anything you would need to. You can get it with either the bucket seats or the bench seat. Mine has the bench seat. Hope that helps a little bit.
