New Holland Boomer 55 CAB HST
Have a 2011 NH Boomer 35 HST. Getting tired of the cold. Been looking at cab models.
Price is definitely an issue.

New Holland and Kubota are too expensive.
Massey 1742 HST CAB wanted 36K cash.
Massey 1736 HST CAB wanted 34K cash.
No older Kiotis around. NX4510 HST CAB 33,700 cash.
Which brought me to LS.
LS XR3037HC 26,900.
LS XR4140HC 29,900.

The 3037 (2015 model that is now being replaced with the XR3135HC) is pretty much the same tractor as I have with a cab and the loader can lift about 400 lbs. more.
The 4140 (new model replacing the XR4040HC) weighs about 1000 lbs. more and is bigger all over and can lift a great deal more.

Implements I have are 6 1/2' HLA Snow Blade, 6' Snow Pusher, 5 1/2' Rear Box Blade, 6' Finished Mower.
My driveway is 400' long plus large turn around/parking area. Also clear around out buildings and paths thru woods.
Usually I end up plowing a couple of my neighbors every storm also. Probably in the seat for 2 - 4 hrs.

I'm split between staying with the same size or the allure of the big boy.
Thanks for your feedback.

Everything but your box blade will work well on both. I liked the bigger tractors due to the axles being bigger but no one has has an issue with them anyways.

Where'd you find a good LS dealer?

If snow removal is your primary use;weight is your friend for sure.

I have the XR3037HC with R4's and my primary use is for snow plowing / removal. Rear track width is 66" which is same as the bucket width. Attachments should be at least as wide as the width so your attachments will all work.
I have a 7'6" snow pusher and a 7'6" QA power angle plow.
Rear tires are loaded with washer fluid.
Total weight is about 5400 lbs. without rear ballast.
I have standard ladder chains for the rear and V bar chains for the front.
Also have two 3 pt. rear ballast weights (900 / 1200) to choose from if needed.
I plow a couple neighbors drives too.
The 3037 does all I need it to do but if you can afford the 4040 or 4140 go for it. Bigger tires, greater lift capacities front and rear. Bigger tractors in general.
The newer 3100 and 4100 series tractors have the LS engine with 40-50 hour run time between regeneration cycles compared to 4-5 hour cycles of the 3000 / 4000 series with the Shibaura engines.

Thanks for the feedback. The salesman was suggesting maybe the XR4135HC instead of the 3037, it being the newer fancy model. I also wondered if I went up to the larger tractors whether the XR4145HC for 1K more would be a better choice (counteract any lose of power do to 1000 lbs more weight and regen equipment).
With your 3037 do the front tires (25x8.5-14 same as my Boomer except I have Turfs) flatten down when you fill your bucket? If I fill mine with stone the front tires know it. I would think yours would be somewhat flatten considering the 3037 can out lift the Boomer by 400 or 500 lbs?

I have the front tires at the maximum inflation listed on the sidewall. They do not flatten down plus the R4's are a lot stiffer than turfs.

Thanks George,
Have you run into any ground clearance issues in the woods with the sub frame bars being only about 8" off the ground?

Sorry George, never mind I found your old post about not spending time in the woods. Thanks for the great underside picture.

I have an XR4145H(no cab) and love it. To me the $1k for the extra HP was worth it.
