Hi All,
Well, after a lot of consideration, it looks like I'm going to make the investment in a 1430. I'm planning on doing part time commercial work as I get closer to retirement from my "day" job...and just can't find anything better than a 1430 for the kind of landscaping / hardscape work I'm planning on specializing in.
The 422 is a great machine for the $$, but I think I could really use the lift capacity of a heavier tractor. Any I just like diesels... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
Anyway, I have a whopping 100 hours on my machine, always garage stored, purchased it about 3 years ago. In addition, I have the following attachments:
Tiller
large and small buckets
(including a set of rock teeth that I never installed)
spreader
forks
box blade
rough cut mower (brush hog)
Post hole digger & 10"auger
misc filters, extra attachment plate, manuals, etc
Everything is pretty much like new, I've just used it around my home, no commercial work yet.
I'm in Allentown PA, so if anyone is interested, you're welcome to contact me off line and come by for a demo. I'm not in any rush, (actually I nt to finsih up the fall cleanup work around here), as I probobly won't buy the 1430 till next spring, but just thought I'd post here first. I haven't actually figured out a price yet, but I'm thinking around 80% of new would be fair?
This is a great forum and a real asset to the PowerTrac community. hopefully I'll have more time to post in the future.
