I'm looking to purchase a trailer that I intend to use for multiple purposes including moving gravel, mulch, firewood etc. In addition, I would like to have the capability to move the 1626 around in a pinch. Any thoughts from the group on a trailer like the one below? It has a heavy duty ramp on it which I'm thinking would be adequate to support the tractor while loading.

This seems like a good combination of features to cover my needs but probably not a traditional tractor-hauling set up. Thanks for any thoughts or feedback.

I'd post a link to the trailer but the forum won't let me.

Some of the trailer manufacturers in the south east will custom make trailers for a good price. A tailgate that can’t be pinned open limits you if you have something on the 3pt. And the short tongue on the trailer you show would limit you from putting the bucket over the front of the box.

I have a cargo trailer from these guys. It was worth the travel because of the savings and quality.

My neighbor had the dump version of this trailer. Only difference besides the dump function was that the ramps stored under the box, and his had a "hard" tailgate, rather than the mesh that yours shows.

It was a great trailer. He did on occasion put his Kubota in it and haul it if needed. But certainly not an everyday transport for the tractor. More like an exception kind of use.

Based on what you plan to haul, you might want to consider the dump version. It has a tailgate that lets you control the output to spread rock, mulch, whatever. I know it's more money, but it will sure save your back...

Thanks for the responses. I did look at the dump version of the same trailer but its way heavier (almost 2.5x heavier) and probably just too much trailer for what I need. They are nice though and would be fun toy to have around.
