I have just purchased a CK30HST and now require to transport it. I have an existing 8X5 tandem trailer... will this suffice or do I need to purchase a bigger trailer ?

Thanks

Sorry, I meant this to be in the Kioti forum... must be too many celebratory drinks after purchasing !!!

Most folks here seem to use around 18'.

The width seems OK, but the length of 122.2 in (with 3pt hitch) is likely too much for your 8x5. Even if you could get it on the trailer, it's likely that the back wheel will be right at the edge. I am OK with implement such as mower sticking out a little, but I never like to see my tractor wheel right at the edge. You also need to check the load rating of your trailer to make sure. Call your dealer, he'd tell you. Mine recommended a 12ft tandem with elec brake for just the tractor. For one with loader and mower, he's recommending a 16ft.

BTW congratulations on your purchase. As always we want pictures as proof of your purchase. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I would use a 16' trailer. This would give you some extra space for proper weight distribution and safer hauling.

Heres a picture of mine. Its a LK3054. Everything that is on the trailer is a 6' Buhler finish mower attached to the tractor, and a 56" tiller, 72" box blade in the front under the loader. The tires on the tractor are filled. Its a 16' trailer with 1 axle brake. Pulling it is the mighty 1/2 Chevy 2wd with 5 speed and 350 engine. The photo was taken when we bought the tractor on the 700 mile journey home. Got 13 mpg on the interstate. Not too shabby for a $3000 truck.

thx
Jim

You want to make sure when your tractor is on the trailer your tractor tires are not behind the trailer tires. I loaded a boiler into the bucket of the tractor and put it on the trailer , I thought I would be smart and save some time when I was delivering it . Well I couldn't go down the road more than 30 MPH without the trailer fish tailing all over the place. It turned out to be a scary ride.

Just moving the tractor that two feet made a big difference . I can usually travel down the road 65 MPH with the trailer and tractor moved up and not know it is there.

I use a 16 foot tandem axel trailer.
