I'll be assisting a friend with moving a JD 6x4 Gator this afternoon using my tilt bed trailer and was wondering about proper
tie down points on the gator.

Can anyone tell me does it have tie down points on the frame and if not then what's the best place to use.
I found the manual on the JD website but did not see anything about tie down points nor about transporting other than some very generic information which is why I'm asking here.

From what I can find online these weigh in around 1000 to 1200 pounds. Is that correct? The trailer I plan to use
is good for a 4100 payload and registered for 5960 pounds so I'm OK there.

We have a Polaris Ranger 6x4 with seating for 3 and a Ranger 4x4 with seating for 6. What I do is use 4 straps. On the front I connect to the bumper. It's very robust and has a winch mounted to it. On the rear I connect to the trailer hitch in the safety chain spots. Again, very robust.

I hook 2 straps on my RTV front grille guard, and 2 straps to the back axle.
