Hello. I have just joined the TractorByNet community, but have been an interested reader for quite some time. I finally talked my dad into purchasing a JD 2320 from my place of work, a JD dealer in NC. The unit is on order, but Dad wanted to know if the tractor w/ 200CX will comfortably fit on a 6x10' utility trailer. I had a question, as well. Does the 2320 have tilt-wheel? I don't think it does, but I'm not 100% sure. Any helpful input will be appreciated.

Our 2520 BARELY fits on our 6x12 trailer. When you put the ballast box on, and the loader, the loader hangs 3 feet over the front of the trailer. So don't plan on turning sharp, or else the bucket hist the truck bumper!
I use my AL car hauler trailer now.

2320s don't come with a tilt wheel. At least mine did not and I didn't see it on the option list. I don't have a trailer yet but just looking at the footprint of the tractor 6x10 will be a really tight fit. Tandem axle right?

My BIL's 2320 with a ballast box on the 3ph will fit snuggly on my 14 ft utililty trailer. I believe the length of the tractor and loader without the ballast box is roughly 11.5 ft or real close to that dimension. I don't think it will fit on your dad's 6x10 trailer. Remember to that the tractor with loaded rear tires weighs approx. 2040 lbs. plus another 600plus pounds for the loader and plus the weight of filled ballast box or some kind of rear attachment. Your now talking around 3000lbs total weight of everything and don't forget the weight of your trailer. You are going to need a tandem axle trailer that has a GVWR rating of 7000 lbs. My utility trailer is a 7000lb GVWR trailer with dual axles. Hope that helps you out some. Good luck with and have fun with the new toy!

I haul my 2520 on a 6.5 x 12 single axle trailer. But I only have the 62d deck on it. If he has a loader installed it may be overweight with a 3500# single axle. It all depends on what implements he wants to haul with his 2320. JC

You have to remember that if your trailer has a 3500 lb axle, you can't expect to load 3500 lbs on that trailer. The weight of the trailer itself must be subtracted from that value to give you the amount that you can actually safely carry and IMHO, I wouldn't even approach that net value if I was hauling over any significant distance.

Also keep your eye on what you're towing with. I was having a hard time finding a trailer for my 2520 plus attachments that I'd be willing to use on my SUV's manufacturer-rated 5000lb class 3 hitch - things start adding up quickly so I've resigned myself to a larger pickup if I ever want to trailer the tractor. Since the dealer will provide transportation I'm not in a big rush.

I recently took receipt of my new 2320 and have had it on and off my new trailer several times. I was restricted on funds after the tractor purchase so I bought one of those 6x12 single axel trailers from Lowe's. It towes great with the loader on but I don't think that you could squeeze it onto a 10 foot trailer with the loader in place. As for trailering with an additional implement I just put the box scraper either in the back of the (with help from the loader) or back on the trailer and drop the scraper and then put the tractor back on the trailer and rest the bucket over the scraper. It tows fine in that setup.

Hope this helps...

Thanks for all the input, folks! My dad and I really took your advice to heart; he sold the 6x10 and purchased a 6.5x16 tandem trailer this week. The new trailer was purchased for just over $1500 from a local retired gentleman who sells compact implements and utility trailers. It's a Hurst with brakes on one axle and full ramp gate. We are now confident that we'll be able to properly haul the 2320, loader, and an implement. Delivery for the tractor is June 1, and I can hardly wait!!! Thanks for all the advice, guys.
