I ran into a post elsewhere that stated the start and stop on the rtv can be adjusted to ease it out a bit if you think it is too abrupt. So I inquired how this is accomplished.

The response is "there is a link from the throttle to the hydro-stat that makes them work at the same time. If you loosen or tighten that link a little bit it will put more cushion it the stopping system. But with that you will lose a little off the line torque."

Anyone try this or know exactly where he's referring? Is it worth a shot?

hmmm. Don't know anything about it.. I would be reluctant to mess with a factory adjustment tho.. Did you break it in?? It loosens up quite a bit after break in.. Mine did. I would not mess with it till *AFTER* break in..

Frank,

I never heard of it either. I asked the person if he tried it and more details where this link is. Waiting for a response.
I have almost 35 hours on my machine. Actually, my tranny and start/stop isn't bad. I brought this over to TBN for all to see/ponder.
Dargo - I wonder if this may be something about your shifting issue. If the link is incorrectly set and your machine isn't at idle, it may affect you getting it out of gear. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Response:

I have done it before but not for a few months when they first came out. If I remember right it is just a cable that kind of looks like a throttle cable and it has a threaded section in the middle and what you are doing is either taking slack out or add some to it by turning the threaded barrel. Lift the bed up and work the foot throttle and look back and see what is moving and it is pretty obvious
