Trans leak or Hydraulic leak

Morning, I seen a post for this ? but I can not seem to find it again. I have a leak some where up on right hand side of Transmission near top, it leaks when running not moving. Before dismantling to get in there any thoughts. Machine is a 1998 JD 455 with the Yanmar diesel. Thx

You need to source the leak before you can fix it.
I would remove the seat, fenders, fuel tank and try and find the leak. You may have to power wash it first.

My JD 285 started to leak. It was the shaft of the hydraulic motor wore through the upper case. Upper case was NLA (no longer available). I had to source a used transaxle assembly.
