Transmission fluid on driveway

A delivery truck left a trail of transmission fluid on my concrete driveway. It's been there for a week in the hot sun and I'm trying to figure out the best way to remove it now that it has soaked in. Dishwasher soap and garden hose didn't do much of anything.

Powdered laundry detergent.. pour it on the entire trail.. wet it till it is a slush. scrub it in with a brush.. pour more powder on.. wet it again and then leave it... go back in an hour and scrub and wash it away.

A degreaser like greased lightening, simple green or that purple stuff would make a great pre-treat in this situation.

( this worked when 2g of 90w tranny fluid hit my garage floor when rebuilding the belly pump on my 8n a few years ago. This washing method left no trace of oil.. )

I've used diluted muriatic acid to clean our pool and other concrete surfaces and it works wonders, BUT you must be very careful and fully read and adhere to the directions (it's basically hydrochloric acid). I would only recommend using it if all else fails, and again don't deviate from the safety precautions. Please.

Engine degreaser and some kitty litter or saw dust.

Try some WD-40 and wash.

If you can find a product called "ZEP" it will do all you ask and more. We uaed to use it to clean grease and oil off heavy equipment.

Add a degreaser like dishwasher our laundry detergent in a liquid form then put the kitty litter (or oil dry) directly on top while still wet.
