Transmission fluid on sale at Tractor Supply

Stopped in today to see what they had and the 5 gal buckeks were on sale for $32+. Its labled Travellers Premium USe Tractor Trans/Hyro Fluid. I assume this is as good or better than Walmart or Napa?

Of interest to me is that they also have the same stuff in 2 gal containers for $17 which for me would be much easier to handle.

Their 80-90W gear lube is reg priced at $4 quart.(GL-5). I may use that for the front axle of my CK-30.

I used both with no problem. I put a hand pump on top of the five gallon pail and pumped it into the tractor rather than lifting (and spilling) the 5 gal bucket. My CK20Hst used more than 5 gallons, maybe 7, you will know when you drain the system, have enough buckets ready.

Quite often, it is all the same manufacturer, Warren Distributing.

As for the gear lube, for just a few bucks more, you can put synthetic 75w-90 in your axle and enjoy the superior benefits. my $.02 Bought a quart from Family Farm yesterday for $6. You guessed it, blended by Warren.

Stopped by NAPA and counterman had Valvoline for about $6 (non-syn) and NAPA brand which he said was also Valvoline for $2.79. Bought his brand.
