I have a 2004 LG Neo47. (LG was renamed to LS over the years) The engine is the Mitsubishi S4QL (47hp).
I have always been puzzled by the discrepancy between the stated oil capacity of the transmission in the owner's manual, as opposed to what it actually takes.
The manual actually states two capacities - 41 litres on one page, then 46 litres on another page. However when I change the oil, after letting it drain for an hour or so, I have found that adding just 37 litres brings it up to the "full" mark on the dipstick.
My neighbour who has a McCormick, told me yesterday that he has the same issue.
Is this a common trait with tractor manuals? I'd be interested if other tractor owners have found this.
For info, 37, 41 & 46 litres translates to 9.8, 10.8, & 12.2 US gallons.
