The transmission (manual) and hydraulics on my tractor share the same sump pump. What type oil should I use? I assume there is some generic fluid for this application, but I am not sure exactly what it is? Thanks.
Its a Daedong L3503-D (now owned by Kioti). The manual was converted from Korean, so its hard to interpret. Its call for Daedong TF65; Mobil 423; Yokong Torque Fluid 56; Korea Shell Donaz TD, none of which I can find. Thanks/Lee
Hello,
I can tell you what I would do?... I would go to the nearest Farm/Home style store. Not Wal-Mart but a real farm supply store and begin to look for equivalents. For example, I own Kubota 50hp and located an equivalent at the store. Also there are manuals that cross=reference for your model. HYDRAULIC FLUIDS ARE NOT ALL THE SAME! You will understand when you go check it out. FYI expect to spend over an hour looking around!
Don't skimp either, you will regret it in the long run.
I'd give you an 96.5% chance that Korean Shell Donaz is the same as the Shell Donat fluid recommended in the manual for my Kioti ck30hst. Can't go too wrong with a high quality major fluid.
I found mine by going to the local Shell major distributor.
On the other hand, I love that Yokong Torque Fluid 56 over rocks after a hard day at work.
RK 55HC,ym1700, NH7610S, Ford 8N, 2N, NAA, 660, 850 x2, 541, 950, 941D, 951, 2000, 3000, 4000, 4600, 5000, 740, IH 'C' 'H', CUB, John Deere 'B', allis 'G', case VAC
