I recently purchased a 620 Bobcat and it has a slight transmission/hydraulic leak. I went to a Bobcat dealer and asked them if products sold at auto parts places claiming to stop transmission leaks would work. He didn't know if if it would hurt or help and promised to have the service manager call me. Said the only sure way to stop the leak was to replace the gasket, assuming that's what is leaking, but I'm not mechanically inclined enough to pull that off.

Didn't hear back from the service manager so I'm still unsure and looking for feedback from others. Help or hurt?

Using products such as transmission stop leaks are inperiling your Bobcat. There maybe small orifices that hydraulic fluid must go through to constantly pressure lube bearings, etc. If you clog one of those up you maybe looking at a very expensive repair, verse just a teardown to replace a leaking gasket or seal. I urge you to procede with caution along this line of thinking, before you pour a bottle of "stop-leak" into your Bobcat.

Wisdom is gained by good decisions, good decisions are partially learned by making bad decisions.

I have never used on any fly-by-night product such as you decribe.

I wish you well with your decision.
