New to the B6000, but which already has been great help in rehab. of my bushfire destroyed block in mowing and moving things around.

But hydraulic/transmission oil is going milky, aerated.

I've finally got a hard to read poor copy of the B6000 service manual but haven't seen any real mention of how to check level and fill, nor how to flush and completely change the trans/hyd fluid.

Tips, clues, hints or pointers, beyond what I found on Youtube from OrangeTractorTalks.com, would be appreciated.

Where do I check trans oil level ?
Where do I drain it ?
Where do I refill it ?

Richard

To right of shifter is rubber "stopper"...that's trans dipstick. Fill port is rubber plug on l side shifter. Straight down to bottom l side is drain. There's a cleanable filter plug on line from pump where enters r side case...

Many Thanks.

That now re-affirms what I can vaguely read and see through the haze of blurred photocopied print of the manual.

Onwards.

I have a manual for the B6100DT if it's a close match. It's 1.3 meg, too large for what is allowed here to attach. PM me an e-mail address and I'll shoot it across the pond to you....

Likewise thank you Crbr

Message sent re manual, however in meantime I have found the dip (low! :(), the filler plug (both overpainted a lovely refurbish blue), the drain, and still working on finding the inline filter.

So will wash it all down, run around a bit to warm the works, then drain, redo all hyd. hose connection threads with teflon tape as well then refill and hopefully that's good and problem fixed.

Cheers,

...and still working on finding the inline filter...

...teflon tape..

Follow hyd line from pump top back to where goes into trans case...that big bolt is filter.

Careful using tef tape, can shred and get into system. If use, not on first few threads...

Many thanks for the tape tip.

I'll be sparing and well away from the orifices.
