Newby here... Great site btw..
I just purchased a Kubota L245DT. The person that I purchased it from made the comment that I shouldn’t make the mistake of putting gear oil in the transmission... He had made that mistake before. He said it takes hydraulic fluid.
I looked at the manual when I got home, and it states to use gear oil???
I see that there are hydraulic lines coming out of the tranny for the power steering, and the 3pt so I guess it makes some sense... but I dont understand how hydraulic fluid can provide the needed lubrication.
Help... I want to use my new tow /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif but don’t want to damage it!
