Mahindra 6530 4WD
Greetings,
I have a 6530 4wd that I purchased new March 15, 2011 with almost three hours on it. After picking up the tractor and parking it inside for the night, I found drops of oil on the floor next morning (along with some coolant but that is another story). Since the dealer had installed the ML266 loader on the tractor, I thought maybe this might be some that had spilled during the installation. After about 25 hours I took the tractor back to dealer so as to address the leaks and some other "items" I had, but they couldn't find any oil or coolant leaks.
Now I have 70 hours on the tractor and the transmission oil is leaking out the vent on the bottom of the clutch housing at the rate of about 2gal every ten hours.
Any ideas as to what needs to be repaired and shouldn't this be under warranty?

Suggestions ??????

Seems it must be the main seal on the transmission input shaft. Take it back to your dealer and tell them to find and fix the leak.

Thanks for your reply. That is what I plan to do, I just wanted an idea as to what to expect to hear at the dealer. I would assume this to be a covered under warranty repair???
Thanks again.

sounds like a transmission input shaft seal. Gonna have to split the tractor (separate engine from transmission)

Good thing your still under warranty.
