Oil & Fuel Transmission Oil Level Satoh S-650G

Trying to figure out how to check the oil level in the transmission of my S-650G. I understand there is a level plug on the left side near the left foot rest directly above the drain plug. The plug I see is recessed in a tunnel of sorts and I cannot tell what kind of a plug it is. Any info would be appreciated.

Not familiar with your model. But on mine the "check hole" has a bolt in it.
