Oil & Fuel Transmission Oil Question

After 2 years I finally reached the 50 hr mark on my 3005.Went to the JD dealer where I bought the tractor to get the needed filters and oils. Changed the engine and transmission filters and oil no problem. While I pouring the new fluid into the transmission I realized that it was clear instead of red like I just drained out. Called the dealer -said it was Hy-Gard not Low Vis Hy Gard-they said it would be fine. Any thoughts on this.

You don't say where you live. That is somewhat helpful in giving advice. Big difference between Alaska and Florida.

The red dye is added at the factory to aid in leak detection. The Hygaurd will be clear/brownish looking and harder to see in the sight glass.

You can order a 5mil bottle of the dye, treats 5 gallons from JD for about $4.00

LB, just about every Kubota guy on here is thinking the same thing.:thumbsup:
