As stated following your CTOA post, I didn't understand the question. Still don't. Photos would help if you have that capability. Perhaps a diagram from your parts book ?

Naw, sorry. Best I can make of this so far, is that you think you've got gear oil leaking forward into the bellhousing. You think this because something's dripping out of the bellhousing weep hole after you opened it back up.

If I've got this straight so far, what makes you think it's gear oil coming forward - as opposed to engine oil coming from the other direction?

The whole bearing seat front assembly has to come out part #10. Then you can take the main input shaft out of the PTO input shaft and replace the seal #4 and #9.

Be very careful taking this out and putting it back in. part #16 and 17 are like a caged needle bearing assembly without the cage. The 28 needles and support washers can fall into the case. Pack it full of grease to hold the bearings in for reassembly. Don’t force it, you can easily bend the needles themselves.

I am still trying to get this thing apart; best i can tell parts 7-17 come out together; i can get it to move about 1/8" but that is it; i guess part number 10 has a grove cut in it and gear number 43 is holding it in; this gear runs up in a hole you can see gearbox b ; the cover for the hole is number 34; if my guess is right; does anybody now how to get gear 34 out? thanks

Hi i got this fixed i will give a little info for the next person that has this problem this should help them .You do not have to pull out parts 7-17 to change seal gear 43 would have to be pulled to get it out you would have to disable the transmission to do that.I took a muffler clamp put it around shaft 8 used a gear puller to get it off part 7 and 8 came out part 9 that i need to change stayed in but i got a hook behind it and got it out now i am shore this is where my leak was coming from the seal was 1 mm smaller then the bore in shaft 8 i hope it shows in the pic where it has been turning in the bore where it should have been turning on the shaft. Hope this helps some one else it they have to do this .
