transmisson.jpgI am starting the 600 hour service on my LS R 4041 H tractor. I have one question about draining the fluid from the transmission. The Operators manual says remove the drain plug. No where in the manual that does it tell you which plug this is. Looking under the tractor there appears to be two large plugs probably 30 mm or more plus there is one internal wrenching plug that would require using a large allen wrench probably 1/2 inch. Which of these plugs should be removed to drain the fluid from the transmission. Hope some of you guys out there that have already changed your fluid can give me an answer. Thanks

If I had to guess, The red circled plug would be the one I would go after. It has a flat flanged sealing surface and the other two, the best I can tell look like pipe plugs. Being no one has answered, that has been faced wtih this before I'll give you my idea and reasoning. Good luck!

I found two plugs on my R3039H with white marking on them ---- I removed both (one at a time) to drain my hydro transmission.

It actually turned out that the plugs circled in yellow and blue were the correct drain plugs. I looked them up on the parts list and determined that they were magnetic drain plugs. I pulled both of them and completed the oil change. Everything worked great.
Thanks for the reply.
