Tractor
JD 4110HST
House is up for sale and when it goes, I want to transport my JD4110 (cut) to my son in Arizona. (I'm in northern Minnesota) I'm looking for advice on truckers: trailering: or whatever. I want to send the tractor, FEL, back blade, and a few small items. (My 47 inch blower will go on the market when the house sells.) In case you are wondering, it doesn't snow much around Tombstone Az. :) Thanks for any tips, leads, or any other words of wisdom you may have.

I shipped an old IH 2-bottom plow from central Illinois to my place in Northern CA a few years ago. Used uShip. Cost about $500. The shipper who won the auction for my load made regular runs from Chicago to the West Coast. He had three loads on his gooseneck flatbed. Mine was the last to be delivered. Took about two weeks to get to me.

Two years ago I bought an old JD B tractor off Craigslist. It was shipped from Portland OR to my place by a shipper who specializes in hauling tractors and implements up and down the West Coast. Distance: 400 miles. Cost: $400 plus tip. Dirt cheap.

Good luck.

are you moving to AZ? IE. if you owned a trailer could you take them. or are you going elsewhere and merely sending the tractor over to the son etc?

Thanks for the links and advice. Now I have someplace to start. sound guy--Just the tractor will be going to Az. I'm staying in Mn. If I can't get a decent deal on transport, I may rent/buy a trailer and haul it myself.

Bah, just drive it. You'll see way more than by putting it on a trailer. :D

I was going to drive it, but I was afraid that when I got to Rochester, the people would be so excited to see a real tractor that I would never be able to get through the crowds. :)

No, not really. As my first office mate noted, you can always tell when the Hawkeyes play the Gophers just by the parade of Iowegians headed north on their tractors. ;-)

As suggested Uship, or look/post here :
Hauling Ads - Yesterday's Tractor Co.
Also consider loading it all in a rental box truck if you want to make the drive yourself; you'll need a dock at both ends or hire a rollback (should not be expensive) to load and/or unload the tractor.
