Anyone have any issues or thoughts on either of these, my dealer was using Master pro tech j20c oil but is no longer in business and I'm unable to find any info on master brand fluid. Been looking at what I want to use to do my next full service.

Never seen or tried the Mystic but their online price for 2 gallons is the same as a 5 gallon pail of Travelers Premium. Their spec cross doesn't show the specification for my New Holland and Travelers does so I reckon I will stick with the Travelers brand.

Back in the late 70's relatives were running irrigation pumps with modified high performance engines such as 350 and 454 chevy motor. These things ran non stop for days or weeks in 100 degree weather. They ran mystik. I have been using it in all my engines ever since. Mower, tractor, auto gas and diesel. Seems to work just fine. Not have any experience with traveler products. From the info I have I suspect that any major brand name high end oil product will work just fine as long as the specs in the manual and on the side of the bottle match and you change it often enough. Seems that for most normal uses the issues are with how long it will last between changes and what temperatures it can handle.

What's amazing is that I looked up Traveler's premium oil products several years ago, and the specs were just as good, if not better than regular Rotella 15w-40 oil, and also the NH speced oil for their tractors. Travelers is a very good oil. I use it now in some of my equipment.

I have witnessed traveler's hydraulic oil settle and turn to thick white curd new in the bucket. The 5 gal bucket was bought less than a month before I saw it. the can was clean and cap was secured.
I did not use it. I will not buy travelers brand because of this experience. My be it was old stock from the store, may be it was a fluke, but I wont risk it.

Speaking of hydro fluid I have found that NAPA premium hydro oil meets or exceeds Kubota oil standards for UDT and UDT2 oils, it cost $55.00 per 5 gal, so if your not running synthetic this is a good option.

Just my experience
MrC.

I just found Mystik JT5 on sale for 50 dollars for a 5 gallon pail, normally 62 dollars. I may get a few buckets and try it.

Got the Travelers universal hydralic-trans fluid over 15 years ago. 5 gallon pails on sale, but also extra gallon for 6 gallon total. Great deal. Just last year put 7 gallons in the IH3444, all still good. So maybe I got a good batch. Looked up who made it, Warren oil. So a decent middle of the road oil. Sounds like your batch was not so good MRCONCDID.
