None!
Here's a picture of the tree fort my oldest son (7) and I built last weekend. A bit more rustic than our house but he's got more ownership in this. He's already begun "furnishing" it with a handmade table. My wife tells me I'm still on tap for a much lower version for our three year old.

I did get to use the tractor in the project! Had to transport the scrap lumber from the house back to the tree fort site. Sure could have used a pair of clamp on bucket forks /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Quite nicely thanks. I've been posting pics under the <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.tractorbynet.com/cgi-bin/compact/showflat.pl?Board=projects&Number=88561>house</A> thread. Looks like rain today, so doubtful much will be done /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

And Thomas, no there are no plans for doors, windows or roof on the tree fort. I'm leaving all that up to my son. It's now his own little piece of the world and I've said he can do (almost) anything he wants with it. Plenty of lumber scraps available if he wants /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Rob,
If you decide to put a roof on that treehouse, I have a couple of BIG Velux opening skylights (brandy new) with flashing kits, that I would like to sell cheap.
It would be overkill, but they would certainly make it the classiest treehouse in town. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Thanks Mark but my son isn't getting skylights in his tree house until I get a backhoe on my tractor /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

RobS...Did he get a separate building permit ?!?!

For real...a couple of years ago...here in Massachusetts... some family got dragged to court becuse they built their kids a treehouse without a building permit.

Like the government has nothing better to do !! I don't recall how it worked out. I hope they won !!
