I can't believe it's been 10 years since I built my first "tree getter" and posted a pic of it here.

Well that little attachment worked so well that when I got my Case 1845 skid steer I decided to build a bigger, better, faster, stronger "tree getter" to use on the Case.

Here's what I came up with. It's so much faster and stronger than the 3ph version on the back of the 1720.

Now if I can just get that rake grapple finished for the FEL on the 1720!

Looks great.

One question what are the two wide gaps in the teeth spacing for?

diesel,
The wide gaps are just my effort to save a little steel mostly.
Most of the trees I pull up are single trees, though now and then I can get pairs or tiplets in a single pass.

The wide gap also helps some when I have to dig down and get out a small stump or a wad of vine roots. The roots of the vines around my place look sorta like sweet potatoes all grown together in a wad and can be pretty darned tough to get out of the ground.
