Trencher use on a hydrost B8200?

I have a good BK7 trencher that I took off a very wore out B7100 gear drive tractor that had the optional extra gear reduction type shifter on the trans. in order to make it travel slow enough to let the trencher dig. My question is if I build a sub frame to adapt it to my B8200 hydro will it travel slow enough to let the trencher dig with out damage to the tractor? This is my first hydro tractor and didn't know if maybe the trans oil may overheat? Has anyone run a trencher on a hydro tractor?

Years ago, Bradco used to take IH industrial Hydro tractors and install trenchers on the back and backhoes on the front. Sold a lot of them to the phone companies.
You shouled be able to run it on the B8200 with no problems. Run the transmission in low range with the engine at FULL throttle. Then using the HST pedal, gradualy(sp) start moving forward slowly, as you would have with the B7100.

I agree with azbinder. It would be hard to beat a hydrostat in this application.

A hydrostatic transmission only pumps enough fluid to go as fast the fwd/rev pedal is pressed down. As such, going slowly isn't a problem.

Thanks guys. That's good news. I thought this might be a dumb question but this being my first Hydro thought it would be best to ask. I guess I was thinking more along the lines of a auto trans as used in a car. After seeing how a hydro works (pumping just enough to move as aczlan said) I can see it won't be a problem.
