Agreed. Several years ago a local deputy was murdered - ambushed in the desert by the druggie he was tracking. He was also a neighbor and friend, as is his whole family. Brian's funeral procession was many miles long. Not just LEOs for all over the country, as is the tradition, but I think half the county was lined up along the state Hwy. for the entire route. His funeral was held in the high school auditorium (standing room only) and videocast to two different churches (also packed). Country living has some inconveniences but I wouldn't trade it for the World.
