I have a dk35 with bh...

Any tricks or suggestions on removing 2385 bh from tractor ?

The manual I got with the bh sucks!

I would guess that the outriggers will drop the unit on the ground when the pressure is removed from the lines.

I'm also guessing that you'd use these to raise and lower the bh to align it when putting back on or off.

thanks

if you have a pto pump it will hold long enough to pull tractor away from it. If your running backhoe off tractor hydraulics im not sure WART

The stabilizers raise/lower the rear subframe and the boom raises/lower the front subframe. When ya think you have found the sweet spot pull forward just a tad, it should not drag the BH. If it does readjust. Taking it off is the easy part. Putting it back on is a little harder. If ya take it off in garage or on any concrete sufrace I would suggest placing some type wood underneath the stabilizers and bucket (2x6 to 2x12) as it will mar the floor. Also a level surface is recommended however now I find it's not absolutely necessary. Also don't forget to release the pressure on the BH before ya disconnect it or ya won't be able to connect the lines later on. After disconnected you may have to flip a Hydraulic switch to give flow to your FEL. Above all just be slow and safe. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

OK here is the deal. Lower the outriggers to take alittle weight off. Extend the bucket out back and set on ground. Pull the pins. Pull forward to clear subframe out of receivers. Now bump the boom "down" a hair to lower the front of the subframe. Disconnect hyd. lines and pull away. If the dealer did not clearance the pins and receivers they could be tight. All of this in less than one minute. I Hope.
Dave.

When do you take the pressure off the bh cylinders?

or isn't that gonna be a concern.

thanks

I've read where a lot of TBN members relieve the pressure on their backhoe to make hookup easier, but so far I never have and so far I have had no problem with reattaching.
If someday I do have trouble plugging in the hydro lines, I will just crack a line to relieve the pressure.

Its the last thing you do b4 disconnecting the hyd lines. DK35, you've been lucky, we just had this discussion on another post, anyway I had to create a leak to get the the hyd lines connected. Whatta mess. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I'm sure the day will come that my hydro lines will not connect.
But until that day comes I'll take my chances /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Actually DK35, I was thinking about what you said and wondered how often you put on or take off your BH. I have never been without my BH for over a week. Anyway I was thinking if you mount your BH as often as me then you may have a slow leak somewhere. Just a thot.

My backhoe use varies.
I can put it on and off a couple times in a week.
And other times the backhoe can set for weeks without be attached.
