we finally got a couple inches of snow so I removed the blower and tried the V blade, not sure it would be my first choice for snow clearing but it worked quite well, only complaint was the Joystick control and how it communicates with the plow, would have figured the left and right buttons would control it but its the large top arrows for left blade and right up down button the right blade, hopefully there is a fix for this

I plowed with a V plow on my truck for many years. The beauty of a V plow is using it in scoop mode. It really lets you control where the snow goes, and works great when you're stacking snow or pushing piles/banks back.

Works even better if you have wings on it.

As is the case with most equipment, after you use it for a bit, you'll get the hang of how to best use it.

The blower has its place too.....I have a blower on a skidsteer. Would use that instead of the plow when we had heavy snow or blowing (drifts). Would also blow back any banks or piles made by the plow.

yesterday we had snow for most of the day and night lots of blowing, this morning figured I would move snow, with a temperature of -37C the Toolcat stored indoors was no issue but the blade outside was impossible to get enough bend in the hoses to connect so put the blade inside the shop and left toolcat running for a hour, once warmed up it went on easy

I am not a lover of how it acts, to move the left blade forward the top right arrow button and move it back the top left arrow button and for the right blade the rocker on the right push the top to moved the blade back and the bottom to move it forward, have to see if this can be switched, would be nice if the left blade was controlled by the left rocker and the right the right rocker but reversed.

moved a lot of snow for a few hours even cleared the service road thats 1 km long, the snow at times was a couple feet deep, never used this blade on the skidsteer always seemed to stick and nor roll off the side, maybe its just the speed the Toolcat moves but fun work for sure

Are the hydraulic valves solenoid valves? If so can you switch the plugs for the valves at the valve connectors?

valves are solenoids and to switch direction yes they can be switched however the assignment to a specific switch to coincide with the joystick buttons can not, seems odd they use a left and right also up and down, it would be nice if they used the up and down buttons each side of the joystick, not sure why they did not use the same configuration as the S590

sure makes light work of the snow clearance

here is a couple pictures comparing the light from the headlamp to the LED cab lights, a vast improvement over the original bulbs

Sorry. I was thinking the buttons were logistically the way you wanted them but they were just going to the incorrect function/solenoid. I wonder if those wiring harnesses go to some sort of terminal block where they can be rolled or if they go straight to the solenoids from the switch? They have to be picking up power somewhere. Are the switches that you prefer being used for anything else?

from what I gather the switches are programmed into the machine, in turn the plow has a circuit board to read the signal from the machine, thats why the blade and other bobcat implements will not work on other brands, the actual command to operate the solenoid comes out of this circuit board unlike the old way actually switch direct to the valve

If that's the case a Bobcat tech could reprogram the switches and outputs. It would require them to interface with the controller via laptop I would imagine.
