I was trying to point out the perspective of the repair shop, not saying that they were right or wrong, just putting another angle on the problem.
I have also been in the sales and service business and have been taken to the cleaners many times, the one time in particular that I can remember is when a gentlemen from one of the older families in town and well to do, had an item in the service department and when we discovered that the carbs needed to be cleaned he was informed in person and when he was going to pick the item up he stated that he was not informed of the needed service, needless to say we settled on a lesser amount.
Over the years there was a few people that we would not to business with because of way they did business, customers and suppliers alike.
We tried to treat the customer fairly and honestly.
Also been on the other end with repair shops that gave one figure and the final one was several times the orginal one or charged to fix the problem the second time when they did not fix it right the first time.
Not every one does business to the high standards that you do Bird and when you do find someone that does not or even on the other end of the spectrum, you make your complaint known to the other party and then in the future take you business elsewhere.
