I have had great luck with dodges 5.9 and older fords 7.3L I have a 2004 3500 with 415,000 on it and no engine work but the auto tranny is junk and been replaced several times go with a 6spd and the surprising thing is the truck don't feel real loose
If looking new I think they are all good but used I would go dodge unless going with old 7.3 fords.
