Just wanted to know if a truck toolbox would interfere with a gooseneck trailer. The truck is a 2008 F250 with the short bed.

Thanks

Nope. Just makes it harder to see to hook up but you will get the hang of it.

As said before, 9 times out of 10 it does not. Will not work with most 5th wheels though.

I would think it would depend on the driver most, and the neck of the 5th wheel trailer second. Short bed trucks usually require a projecting neck, as I was told, and even then I have seen drivers trying to put their rig in too tight of places, and jack-knife the trailer into the side of the truck cab when backing. Another guy I know bought a new s/bed truck and pulled his camper 1000 miles home, then changed the neck(?)****or maybe bought another camper. He managed the 1000 mile trip but later told me that it always felt like the camper was in the back seat.
If you haven't bought the toolbox, then seriously consider a below the bed level type.

I think you will be good. my f250 has the short bed and it looks like it would be close but fine with my tool box in.

my 450 has a tool box and aux fuel tank and still no issue with a 5th wheel or gn adapter..

Get one of those 'floor magnets' w/a handle on it and bend the handle to 90˚and stick it in front of your g/ball .... back up and watch the handle in your w/shield mount rearview mirror, when it moves ..... STOP .... I can hook my goose up MUCH quicker this way even with a c/bed t'box than I could ever hook a bumper pull :)

Researching this question. I have a 2012 shortbed f250 4x4. Putting the large jobox innerside boxes that are on the bed rails and wondering if it will work with gooseneck trailer.
