Trucked Dead Hauled Hay Anyway

I think in Michigan your first trailer can not be a bumper pull. Needs to be a gooseneck ot 5th wheel. I think there is a exception for recreation towing a spare vehicle

We pull doubles all the time here. No big deal. Just plan your stops. Backing up is really not a option.

I think that sounds about right. You still have to stay under your combination weight when you do it. For a rv and a ski do or something behind a pickup I thi k it would be convenient. Pulling a GN and a BP flat deck I don't see the point. Just get a big enough gn and don't worry about a 2nd trailer!

I ordered mine back in 2006 with a receiver hitch and 2nd trailer connector for pulling double.

We only bought 10, 5x6 bales this year, so we made one trip by using the 12' tilt trailer behind the 22' deckover.

Why didn't you just put those 2 on the gn???

I bought an 18' bumper pull trailer about 20 years ago and it had a ball welded on the back and the dealer said they put it on for him so he could pull 2 in tandem with additional trailers stacked on each. So of all the 10 or so trailers he bought from the factory only one had a ball on the rear.

It is rated at 14K, weighs 5K, 8 fresh cut bales is over 11K on the deck plus I didn't know if his tractor could go that high. I have hauled 4 bales on that 6K tilt behind the GN or 6 bales on a 8x16 deckover behind it.

The heaviest load that I have hauled scaled 12,640 on the deck, 3,440 on the ball, 14,200 on the axles. Just slightly overloaded. :D
