Well boys we finally had a couple of days with no rain and the sun was out so I thought I would try the new 72" Frontier rotary cutter that was a package deal with the new 3720. I got her a little muddy but all in all was very impressed with the cutter and really enjoyed the comfort of the cab and the outstanding lighting the jd work lights provided. I got a little video to share with you all.

Sweet video...

Any thoughts on the size of the cutter for the 3720? Was it good? To big? To small? How did the 3720 handle with that sucker hitched on the back?

I have been using a 48 inch cutter on a little open station kubota 7510 for two years now in this cab with the 72" cutter it is like heaven. One thing about the frontier cutters is for there size they are very light. The machine has no problem at all with it. The only issue was me running it as low as I could and once in awhile would hit a birm of mud and have to raise it up so not to be hard on the machine or stall the pto.

DP - nice job on the selection and the video. I own the Frontier RC2060 as it gives me the maneuverability that I need. I am also very happy with the equipment. Question for you, what type of grass are you mowing? Maybe its the dusk or angle but not sure what you are mowing. Nice equipment if I didn't mention it.

Looks to me like the mower works A-OK. Who gets to maintain that wood fence? Did you dub in the tunes on the video, or was that directly from the tractor's stereo system?

Thanks Gary - I am sorry they are just all sorts of weeds and to be honest I can't identify all of them rite now would have to look it up. It just falls under the property standards bylaw in my Township and there was about 5 acres of weeds on the property that is scheduled to be developed in an urban area. The outer edge of the field starts into a soy bean crop if you notice where I am turning around. The development company rents the rest of the land to farmers I think the land can go for around $100.00 to $200.00 an acre for crops and this company owns almost every inch of open land in my township.

That fence is owned by the development company I am working for in the video so it is there responsibilty however I honestly don't think they have done anything to the fence since it went up about 7 years ago. They were going to build a cement sound barrier fence instead on there dime and the town stopped them over some kind of bylaw issues or more expensive paper work. So the company got pissed off and said the **** with it and through up the wood fence.
The music is direct from the JD factory Jenson heavy duty stereo and factory speakers I am really happy with the sound quality.

Nice video!

Are you running chains on the front? If so, do they cut down on all the dust and other flying material between the cutter and the tractor?
