Tractor
John Deere 630
I'm not rich, but do want to spend some cash on a new tractor. I have looked at JD 5093E and 5101e, with 563 loaders. I've looked at Case-IH Farmall 95 with loader, and Kubota 100X with loader. I like all of the above, any one of them is more than I need for mowing, drilling post holes, driveway grading etc. It's luxury I don't exactly deserve, but still want before I get too old to enjoy. If you guys would tell me your opinions and thought on these choices and what you regard as the best choice or preferable choice. I like the green ones, and Kubota is about 10K more money than JD or the red one. I'm still looking at the facts, resale, and value of them all 3. Thanks

Out of those 3 i would go with the green. If there is a MF dealer in ur area check out the MF2670 or the MF2680 with the DL280 loader. Alot better tractor for the money.

I looked on MF's web site, watched the video on the HD series tractors, it is a convincing video. Have to get some prices, looks like a lot of quality in one of these. Thanks.

Bruce, if it's opinions you want, post this instead in the first forum -buying, pricing, comparisons. You'll get plenty.

You didn't say whether you're looking for a cab tractor or open station. To me, that makes a difference. IMHO, JD has the best cab, by far. I've just spent the last few months making the same decision. I had narrowed it down to the NH T5050 (not the TD5050) and the JD 5085M. I bought the JD, mainly because of the cab. The A/C is much better and the noise level is lower. Deere makes the same tractor in 95 and 105 hp, (5095M and 5105M) if you think that you need that much hp. The 5M series is the "premium" line in that size JD tractor. They have a bunch of features that aren't available on the "economy" tractors. I had also considered the Kubota M9540, but decided against it. The cab is not insulated as well as the other two and the Kubota is very light for its size, almost 2500 pounds lighter than the JD. My cousin has three of the M9540's with C/A, MFWD, FEL. He had to add water to the rear tires to be able to handle 1500# rolls of hay.
As for the open station tractors, I love my NH TN70A. Couldn't ask for anything better. (the TN-A series is now the T4000 series, and the next size up is the T5000 series)

BTW, need has nothing to do with it and neither does deserve. :D If you can afford it, get what you want.
