I too struggled with the CK25 or the CK30. I spent the extra money and bought the CK30. It will give you the extra PTO hp. to run 6ft cutters. Also, with the weight of the machine @ 3050lbs, it will benefit from the extra hp. and put it to the wheels for extra pulling. Mine is three weeks old with 10 hours. After seeing what it can do, I'm glad I spent the extra for the 30hp. Not that the 25 wouldn't work, but the extra hp. sure does make it nice and you can work a little faster. I figured the CK30 would be with me for a long time and when you figure the extra cost per year of ownership, it's worth it. From what I could research, it's a different engine class over the 25 and is similar to the 35hp. The price for the CK30 is a little better than I did. I had went to three dealers around me and all had different prices. I tried the haggling routine and they didn't want to budge much. Luckily, the closest dealer was the cheapest for me.
Good luck and happy tractoring. I think you'll like the CK30. By the way, mine is an HST and my wife loves it. She is more than happy to help me with some of the work because it's an HST.
