Sickle Bar Trying to determine model of the old IH sickle bar mower I just acquired

Have you discovered the model number of your IH sickle bar mower yet? I just bought an identical one to yours, and I can't find the model number.

It appear to be and IH 100 or 120 model. Webbs sickle Service Your one-stop cutting parts source, Webb's Sickle Service has parts and can identify for you. Rowse rakes still makes the equivalent of the IH 1300 3pt and trailed models, so may have frame and mechanical parts available. They had everything I needed for rebuilding my IH 1300 unit, including the hydraulic lift. Quality, dependable, American-made equipment. - Rowse Rakes

Your case/IH dealer should be able to get manuals.

For folks looking for a good sickle mower, the IH 1300 balance head mower that does not use the pit-man arm. Good unit and parts can be found.

Hi Folks, I'm just new here.
I acquired an older IH sickle bar mower and could only find this number on the casting. 451491 R or 451491 RM It is hard to see in the sun and not real clear in my pix.
Anyone help me with this info as I want to restore the old girl and keep her in shape. I've replaced grease nipples and gotten most of the joints to take grease. It took a little heat and movement but things are looking up.
I need to replace the drive stick (rotted away) and get a new belt and knife. It seems to be in rather good shape and well worth some effort.
I am going to attempt to attach some pix, but as I said, I'm new here and it may be funny to watch :confused2:

I believe this is an International Harvester Model C28 Sickle Bar Mower, built back in the 50s and 60s.
