Put new fuel filters on tractor....but, concurrent with that, engine died (died first and then went to change filters before firing back up)

Long story short, don't seem to get any fuel at the injector so my question is, if I take fuel lines off at this round head.... wouldn't I expect to get a STRONG pulse of fuel out of here? (much easier to reach here than up to injectors)

In case I still have air in there.... (bled fuel using the valve above the second filter), is there a port on the pump itself where I can bleed the pump or is that done at the filter where I bled it there?

I'm about ready to yank pump off to take to show just to rule it in/out.....except it's an hour drive to the shop and with work, that causes other issues.

There is no bleed screw on the pump..
The line going into the pump in your picture is the main inlet..
The hand primer on the back of the pump is usually all u need..
Unscrew the “thumb screw” flip the bracket out of the way and start pumping..
Any air in the line will travel out of the pump..
Hope that helps..

First you need to bleed the filter there should be a fitting on top of the filter bracket. Open that and crank the engine until fuel flows freely out of the bleeder screw. Next look on the injection pump there should be a bleeder screw on the pump. Open that and crank engine until you no longer see air bubbles then close the screw, once you get all the air out of the system to the pump then you should be able to open one line at the injector; I like to start with the shortest line to the longest one, and then crank engine until no more air comes out then tighten up the fitting. do the same to the rest of the injector fittings until it starts. Usually on a three cylinder by the time you get the first two fully bled it will be trying to start then you can close the last one and listen to her purr. any remaining air will purge within a short period. You will never get the air out unless you start at the filter.
One other thing there is always a chance that the fuel shut off valve is defective or the screen in the tank is clogged up, if that's the case you will never fully get it going. I just went through the same thing with a Ford 3000. The tank was rusted and somehow the screen on the valve got knocked off and rust filled up the hole and almost shut the fuel completely off. It would allow me to bleed the system and get it started and run at an idle but once you started working it would shut down. I would have caught that if I had removed the valve from the tank but I was lazy and thrifty and didn't want to waste the fuel that was in the tank. I ended up having to replace the tank to make it work. I hope you don't have to go through that.

Sorry, I just looked at your pic and I see it's a 6 cylinder. thepumpguysc is correct and I was wrong. some injector pumps have an injector primer on the pump that you can bleed the air out of. My tractor doesn't have that setup. Some systems are harder to bleed than others usually the more cylinders the harder they are to bleed.

was a bad pump. replaced it, was 360 out of phase, rotated shaft and (essentially) fired right up. stripped bleeder valve, new one arrived yesterday, going to try to replace today or tomorrow
