Hello
I just bought a XR4046H 2013 but there is a issue with the DPF,I think it is at 140% so the DPF light is blinking and so is the Red light but it will only run for 30 sec.Im trying to get into regen but cant get it to run long enough to get the heat up.I heard that you can hold the DPF switch down for 15 sec it will force into regen ?I saw that on a older thread here so if anybody has a answer please let me know.
Thank you in advance

Yes it will- I tried it once just because.
just be sure your RPMs are high enough. My xr3135 wanted to go into a regen while I was still warming it up a couple weeks ago and it caused some rapid fluctuations of the engine rpms. It wouldn’t actually go into regen until I brought them up. Some people like to firewall the throttle in a regen- i prefer to keep it between 2200-2400.

Work the tractor (if you can) drive it around with the throttle maxed. You want that engine as hot as it can get. Force the regen with max rpm. It 'should' regen and burn off all that crap in the dpf.

Dealer told me after 120% dealer had to do a forced burn by hooking up the computer. I'm not sure why the previous owner would cancel the burn off to that extent. It will lower the lifespan of the DPF the more it is allowed to get clogged. That DPF regen cycle gets the exhaust temps up into the 1000* mark inside that DPF and burns off the soot kind of like creosote in a chimney catching fire.

Thank you for the replies,I'm going to remove the DPF filter and get it cleaned and reinstall and see what happens, you don't need the dealer to force a regen you can do it yourself as long as it's up to temperature press the regen switch up and hold for 15 seconds and it will go into regen.
Thanks

Good to know. I have seen where people power washed the DPF on youtube. Not sure if it is possible or not but maybe something worth trying before paying someone to do it.

Mine would not go into regen after it started flashing. I think the guy who dropped off the tractor after the 50 hr service had triggered the delay switch when he was unloading it. Could not do a "forced" regen following the instructions in the manual (4140). Called dealer and when he hooked up the computer, he said I was actually at about 95% and if I had waited a bit longer it would have kicked in automatically. When I asked why it would not take the "forced" regen using the instructions in the manual he just shrugged...that made me uncomfortable. Waiting to see what happens on the next regen that should happen in the next 25-30 hours. Only 76 hours on the clock.

Hello
Well I managed to get it up to Temp starting and restarting it and then did a forced regen and it went into regen for about 1/2 hour ! the regen temp light came on so all was going good,I let it run for about 1 1/2 hours still on limp mode as far as RPM but at least it didn't shut down.
The regen temp light never did go out and engine light stays on.
Ended up shutting it down and that was it went to restart and it just went back to shutting down every 30 seconds and regen and engine light flashing every second.changed the Differential switch from Son In Laws tractor but no change.

I have the LS dealer calling me today with some information to check on so still ongoing.
Thanks for the replies.
