Price Check Trying to Price a 1952 Ford Fordson Tractor

Hey Folks,

I'm trying to help my dad sell his 1952 Ford Fordson Diesel tractor. He used to use it on his property out in Elba, NY, but it has been sitting for a while. He's 83 and the upkeep on everything is just getting to be a bit too much for him. I know some people do collect these for themselves, but he would like to get it sold sooner than later. Any info or helpful advise on what it might be worth would be much appreciated.

I am not sure what you have. Around here a 1952 ford is called a 8n. You must have a larger ford. The 8n have been bringing 2000.00 in good unrestored condition at auctions in the last month. Around the corner from my location a neighbor has a 1953 Jubilee with a front end loader for 2200 OBO. That seems real cheap,but it has been there for 3 weeks. make sure and put it in running shape if you can. Prices seem to be running 500.00 dollars to cheap. Everyone wants the little new tractors in whatever color. Seems like the old fords are a good deal to me.

That would be a Fordson New Major or Diesel Major

Here in S. VT they are well spoken of, but seem to sell for a tad over $1000. But most that are seen for sale look like they have their better years behind them.

I would like to have one to go with the E27n. That was the original Major.
An 8n is something Ford made, Not Fordson,
