Yanmar YM 1500D
Ok, I just bought a Yanmar YM1500D from a friend of mine. He told me the only issue is the front right 4X4 axle broke off and he has replaced the parts, but inside there is a nut with a star washer, the nut will not stay tight. It is notched like a pin should go through it, but there isn't any hole to put a pin in there. Any ideas?

Thank You in Advanced!

There should be a washer like this-

the tabs on the washer should fold over (use a punch or screwdriver) into a notch in the nut to keep it from moving after you get it tight.

And welcome to TBN!!!

Drill a hole in the shaft so that you can use a pin to lock the nut. Use Lock-tight red or blue to chemically do the same thing. If there are enough threads on the shaft you can use another nut against the first one to lock them both onto the shaft.

Edit - And someone who knows more about the situation comes up with an even better idea!
