my 2810 will no longer strart and is leaking on my new concrete floor. the tractor is 9 months old. i would like to trade in the tractor for another one but all they have is a 3510. i am ok paying a little more because the tractor is more expensive than the 2810. however i would like the amount i paid for the 2810 as my trade in value. the dealer says thats mahindras call. the dealer suggested i should get a new tractor for all the problems i have had. do you think im being selfish. this is the fourth time the tractor has been totally out of commision since i purchased the tractor and i have only used it 100 hours. i have wrote a letter to the president of mahindra and he has not called me yet. However Rita is coming towards houston and tomball texas is very close to houston. so i will cut him a little slack but here i sit with a 3,000 pound paper weight

Has the problems been the same over and over or are they new problems?
Where is the tractor leaking fluid?
Are you getting satisfaction from you dealer?

No a new tractor is not out of line, getting your same money back isnt either. They sold you a unusable thing. Look on the NH threads, there was a guy who went through the same thing with the blue ones. He got a new machine.

I agree.

Every brand has problems, but every brand needs to stand behind their product. I've seen brands stand up and offer a full value trade ins. It is not unreasonable to expect it if you upgrading your equipment.

How is 9 months of use a unusable thing?
I am trying to find out what is wrong and how many times his tractor has been broke and also how his dealer is supporting his down time.

I had purchased a Brand new Ford F350 powerstroke and in 7months the engine had broke a connecting rod and I did not have my truck for 4 weeks does that mean they should have given me a new truck or gave me what I had payed for it on a trade.

Now if he had a reaccuring problem than that is a different story.

Good points, and I totally agree with that too. However, I am under the impression that this tractor has been broken as much as it has worked.

Atleast you can talk to your dealer. I call mine and the head guy is out or is busy and after 3 weeks they have not come to pick up my tractor. I sent an email to Mahindra, but no response. Granted I've used my tractor for 300 hours, but dealer is totally out of line. Seems to me Mahindra will have to do something to keep customers.

i thank all of you for your information and to anser a few questions the tractor has just over one hundred hours on it lets say no more than 110. i have put approx. 100 hours on it. It appears to be a wiring or computer / module problem. when it did this last month i was able to strart it with a screwdriver by crossing the posts, however this time that wont work. i have checked all the fuses and connections that i can see. when the dealer returned it last it ran fine for a couple hours and now its back to the same old tricks. yes i did get some 100 hours of use out of it. when i say some thats because of the time i have had it its has been out of commision for more than one month total. either waiting for parts diagnosing the machine or waiting to be fixed it all takes time. however time is something that is precious to me. in the end its not about the money, if it was i would have purchased a used tractor. the fact is i thought i was buying a reliable tractor. I have several jobs to get done before the snow flies and if i hire them out my wife would say THEN WHY DID YOU BUY THE TRACTOR, I THOUGHT THATS WHAT YOU BOUGHT IT FOR. You guys know the drill.
