Trying to understand hook up for hydraulic top link

Hi,

I am interested in putting a hydraulic toplink on my Kubota B6200D.

I have some ports that might be used for this (see attached picture), but was hoping to keep those available for possible future FEL use.

So I found this diagram of taping into the lines for the 3 point hitch with an open center valve: https://www.hoyetractor.com/remote.htm

Is this a fairly typical way to hook up a hydraulic top link?

The way it is plumbed now is the pump flow goes to the hyd blk and continues back to the 3pt.

Is there a small lever or screw on the hyd blk/valve to turn to open the two ports?

If so, then one of those ports is the pressure port and should go to the IN port on the FEL valve.

The other port is the PB supply port from the FEL valve PB adapter.

Your tank line should go to tank.

To use the FEL valve, you turn the lever so the flow now goes to the FEL and back to the hyd blk.

You can use it for any valve.

Here is an option. Install a set of QD's in the two ports, and plug in your remote valve.

If no valve is being used, you must jumper the two QD's to keep flow going to the 3pt.

Your relief valve is also also on that hyd blk. Set all valve reliefs the same.

Once you have the FEL valve installed, the flow path will be like this.

Tractor with a FEL valve and a remote valve.

Pump to hyd blk, hyd blk Pressure Port to FEL IN port, out or FEL PB port with adapter to a remote valve IN port, from remote valve PB port with adapter, back to the hyd blk, then on to the 3pt.

All tank lines go to tank.

My B9200 is setup about the same way. I use a log splitter on my ports.

You should ignore that diagram as they are feeding the 3pt with the tank/out port.

Yes, there is a small lever to open the two ports for when they are in use.

I have attached a better picture showing what I have.

I think you are telling me to mount QDs on the ports, and switch connections for the top link or FEL as needed.

Is this what you are saying?

Also, I saw a video that the threading on the Kubota is odd. Do you think this is correct, or is the person perhaps just unfamiliar with Hydraulic threading?

There is no 3pt return as the 3pt used fluid just dumps to tank.

You have pump IN to the valve, and 3pt supply, plus a relief tank line I believe,

You should be able to follow the line from the pump to the hyd blk. Look see and tell me if there is a banjo fitting on the line from the pump.

The two plugged ports are for installing a valve.

One port is pressure out of hyd blk, and the other port is PB supply from a valve, be it a FEL or a remote valve.

All tank lines go to tank.

I looked closer and the pump does go to the banjo fitting which is the supply for the hyd blk.

I repeat again, if the lever is turned to supply the two ports, and you have QD's, you must install a jumper across the two ports, or switch the lever back to original and plug the ports.

Your manual may tell you about the threads in the ports and fittings. .

Still have questions, but uploading a corrected picture identifying the hydraulic supply (from tank) to pump.

One option.

If no FEL, just remove the 3pt line and make a new hose for the T-N-T valve.

Connect the new valve where the 3pt line was.

Connect the PB line from the T-N-T to the 3pt input.

Connect the tank line to a tank/return line.

You don't have to turn the lever .

The lever is used for the two plugged ports.

2ed option.

Remove the two plugs and connect the T-N-T.

Plug on right goes to the In port on T-N-T valve and PB from the T-N-T goes to the left port and then turn the lever to change flow path.

Tank line foes to tank.

Your relief valve is show in the pdf and dumps to tank

Pump flow is to the bottom of the hyd blk.

lShould you decide to add a FEL, use the two plugged ports and turn the lever to change the flow path.
