KAMA ts354
does anyone have an online parts diagram of the 354 shuttle assy? Pretty sure this is what I am looking at on pg 15 of the parts manual labeled mid-connecting housing assembly.

The problem appears to be that # 4 idler, and #3 roller bearing are damaged, there may or may not be damage to #16 Shuttle gear sliding gear, but I cannot actually see it.

The tractor has always made a racket in reverse since I got it. 8 yrs later it finally came apart. There are parts of bearing and a few teeth from the idler in the case, If I remove the lower differential section where the front propeller shaft connects will I be able to reach up in there to replace this and inspect #16?

Changed my profile to reflect the proper tractor KAMA TS354C, Sorry for the confusion... I was under the impression they were one and the same...FWIW this thing is branded as a Griffin TS354C

thanks, what I really need is a parts diagram showing the case/gearbox w the lower section ( transfer to front propeller shaft) removed. If I need to split this tractor to fix this, I won.t be able to do it til spring as I need my garage for a zillion other things right now and into the winter. Right now the tractor is in the way in the middle of my driveway and needs to go somewhere else. If I can fix it without splitting it I will do it right there where it sits, otherwise not the easy task moving it from where it is, to somewhere until it can go in the shop/garage which will be another task unto itself... it looks like you could reach up in from the bottom w the transfer removed but I don't know if you could actually remove the parts. Those pics are from 2005/2006 or thereabouts, Where the tractor is now it cannot stay once snow falls, It is also a sloped and irregular dirt surface can't split it there...

I don't have my TS354C books any more, so I'm doing this from memory. The transfer case may be removed from beneath the tractor without splitting, gear oil must be drained first. While that's draining, you can be removing the front drive shaft. If damage is limited to the transfer case, you'll be lucky. Unfortunately the sliding gear is in the shuttle box. If that's damaged, replacement does in fact involve splitting the tractor. Split where the shuttle box bolts to the bellhousing, permitting you to replace the damaged parts on the bench. Not sure, but I may have the gasket that goes between the shuttle box and the bell housing. Given the smaller size, you should be able to cut your own gasket for the transfer case.

Photos don't help much regarding the transfer case, but I did notice that the muffler/exhaust appears to be mounted backwards. That will direct the exhaust away from the tractor instead of across the cowl.
